Dome Labels
What are dome labels?Dome labels are the perfect way to differentiate your brand from the competition, enhance your image, and give your logo or graphics a more up-scale, appealing look. Dome labels are standard full-color labels that have been coated with a clear polyurethane resin. The coating not only protects the label underneath but it is remarkably resilient and glossy, enhancing the graphics and making your label three-dimensional. Printing is accomplished via traditional flexo or digitally. The polyurethane coating is extremely durable, UV and chemical resistant, and is self-healing so it does not permanently scratch or dent.
How are dome labels made?
Dome labels are manufactured by depositing a calculated amount of polyurethane resin on top of a label. The resin naturally spreads out and evenly coats the label surface, while being monitored by precision instrumentation. To ensure the highest quality domed product, the coating and curing portion of dome label manufacturing is done in a clean, climate controlled room to prevent temperature change or dust and other foreign materials from interfering with the curing process.
